Reported by Suprovat Sydney: On a bright Saturday morning, July 5, 2025, the Hon. Tony Burke MP Federal Member for Watson and Minister for Home Affairs-Minister for the Arts-Minister for Cyber Security-Minister for Immigration and Citizenship-Leader of the House, House of the Representative hosted a special community BBQ at Flinders Slopes, Lawson Drive, and Lansdowne Park. The event was held to express heartfelt appreciation for the tireless efforts of local volunteers and community leaders who have played a vital role in shaping and supporting initiatives across the electorate.
The gathering brought together a vibrant and diverse group of individuals who support grassroots campaigns. Mr. Burke warmly welcomed attendees and personally thanked them for their service and ongoing commitment.
“Our community thrives because of the selfless work of volunteers and the strength of our local leaders,” Mr. Burke said in his address. “This BBQ is just a small token of appreciation for everything you do.” He also extended a special thanks to those who supported his re-election campaign.
