Suprovat sydney Report: On March 6, 2026 , Friday evening, Canterbury-Bankstown Mayor Bilal El-Hayek hosted a magnificent community Iftar, bringing together a diverse array of leaders and citizens. The Mayor, alongside Deputy Mayor Rachelle Harika and Councillor Saud Abu-Samen, personally welcomed guests at the entrance of the venue.

The event was attended by various dignitaries, including Ms. Ash Ambihaipahar MP, who expressed her delight at the gathering of Islamic scholars, VIPs, business leaders, and community representatives.

A notable guest of honor was Bondi hero Ahmed Al Ahmed. Despite still recovering from injuries, Ahmed remained humble and gentle as he engaged with attendees who thanked him for his bravery. Speaking to Suprovat Sydney, Ahmed modestly stated, “I simply tried my best.”
