When I talk to you, my Bangladeshi-Australian friends, on the current affairs of Bangladesh. I find you are quite reluctant and not interested to talk regarding turmoils in Bangladesh.

I find, your interests lies in sports, movies, expensive cars or video games. You crave chain migration and your goal is to live in another foreign land.

It is concerning for us as a nation as a whole. Put it this way, if every Bangladeshi turns a blind eye to the issues of Bangladesh, who will make it better? You own it. You are equally responsible.

Besides, prioritising personal matters over national issues is the root cause of the cycle of corruption.

I urge to you, my fellow Bangladeshi-Australians, to take matters happening in Bangladesh into your cognizance and to get involved in these up to your ability.

If we have truly felt the ownership of Bangladesh, I am sure the country would have seen a lot better movement from us.

My findings on the reasons that keep you away from owning your country:

You feel inferior to an imaginary idea. You are scared of being incorrect. You are terrified of being tagged and being attacked from multiple ends.

You withdraw from being afraid of not being able to entirely politically correct.

You have been subliminally bullied.

You feel second-class because you think your faith and belief will be used to set a label on you.

You better know:

We are Bangladeshi, and we have different faiths and beliefs, we have our own cultures and customs, we are respectful to all genders, we believe in equality in all level regardless race and color, we assimilate with modern enlightenment and these attributes do not contradictory to each other. We are as equal Bangladeshi as it’s finest. You are no less Bangladeshi than anybody.

You do not need to honour a value that is imposed on you.

You believe in your own value, you trust yourself. You are worthy.

Put the country in front:

No ideology can be perfect, likewise, no body is perfect. We must know that as an individual we will always be bias. We can only reduce of being bias by treating opposition respectfully and by finding common grounds between opinions through discussion.

It is right time to leave our differences aside and focus on one goal, that is Bangladesh is our country, we will make it better. As a nation, as a race, we want to see ourselves responsible in globally.

Bangladesh deserves:

I truly believe that quota movement is a stepping stone of owning our country. Merit base public service hiring is the best way. To it’s least, it will reduce Brain Drain from Bangladesh. Consequently, Bangladesh will get the opportunity to utilize it’s full potential for future progress.

Quota movement initiators and warriors, with you, Bangladeshi-Australians, least We align.
