Reported by Suprovat Sydney.: The Community Voice of Australia brought together it’s members, leaders, and supporters on Sunday at Pembroke Park, Minto 14 September 2025, for a General Meeting combined with a community barbecue. The gathering served as both a celebration of unity and an opportunity to discuss the organisation’s plans for the future.
The event was hosted under the leadership of President Ibrahim Masud Khalil, with strong support from other committee members. Participants enjoyed an afternoon of fellowship, food, and discussion, with the highlight being deliberations on the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM), scheduled for Sunday, 2 November 2025, at 12:00 PM.
Key matters on the agenda included committee restructuring, organisational development, and preparations for the 2027 election. Members agreed that these steps were vital to ensuring the organisation’s continued strength and effectiveness.
President Khalil delivered a keynote address, stressing the importance of unity, responsibility, and community participation. Vice President Deb Gurung, Joint Secretary Farzana Khan, Chief Advisor Shibli Abdullah, and member Fiaese Pese also contributed, along with other representatives. A formal report was presented by Syeda Ishrat Ferdousi, the organisation’s representative under Liverpool Council.
The meeting also highlighted the diversity and inclusiveness of the Community Voice of Australia, with many members offering ideas, encouragement, and active support. Their presence underscored the strength of the organisation’s multicultural foundation.
