Charity Right Australia hosted annual fundraising Dinner.

Suprovat Sydney: reported, 22 November 2025 Charity Right Australia Limited successfully hosted its Annual Fundraising Dinner on Saturday evening, bringing together more than 250 guests in a night of inspiration, generosity, and heartfelt commitment to supporting some of the world’s most vulnerable children.

Guests pledged an impressive $200,000 towards Charity Right’s global school meal programs, which provide daily nourishment and access to education for children living in extreme poverty. A lively charity auction added a further $30,000, with all proceeds dedicated to supporting children in Gaza, where ongoing conflict continues to devastate families and disrupt access to basic needs.

The event was honoured by the presence of several distinguished community leaders, including: Grand Mufti of Australia, Dr. Ibrahim Abu Mohamad, Islamic Relief Australia CEO, Samir Benqadi, Charity Right Australia Chairman, Dr. Hamid Almafragy, Board Members, Dr. Naim Islam and Ramia Abdo Sultan, Leaders of the Bangladeshi Senior Citizens of Australia, doctors, distinguished guests, and community media including Suprovat Sydney, the only Bangladeshi newspaper in Australia were present. .

Their attendance highlighted the unity and collective commitment of the Australian Muslim community in addressing global hunger and educational inequality.

The evening featured powerful presentations showcasing the transformational work of Charity Right. Guests learned how consistent school meals can change the life trajectory of a child, keeping them in school, protecting them from exploitation, and helping them break the cycle of poverty with dignity.

Speakers shared moving stories from Charity Right’s field projects, reinforcing how reliable school meals restore hope and allow children to “dream big” despite living in some of the most challenging environments in the world.

Charity Right Australia is a registered Australian charity dedicated to feeding and educating children living in extreme poverty, including crisis zones and marginalised communities often overlooked by mainstream humanitarian efforts.

As part of the global Charity Right network, the organisation currently supports 14 schools and provides regular meals to around 2,000 children worldwide, enabling them to stay in school, build their future, and break free from poverty.

While many humanitarian organisations focus heavily on emergency and short-term relief, Charity Right is committed to long-term, sustainable support ensuring that children in forgotten communities receive the nourishment and education they need to thrive.
