Reported by Suprovat Sydney:  The newly registered political party, Community Voice of Australia, has made a significant impact in its first local government election campaign, competing in the Canterbury-Bankstown, Liverpool, and Campbelltown LGAs. With a focus on fresh, community-driven candidates, the party’s efforts have garnered notable voter support across the regions.

In the Liverpool LGA, the election climate was uncertain, but candidate Deb Gurung and his dedicated team made swift progress, establishing a visible presence within just two weeks of campaigning. Their hard work has resonated with voters, making Community Voice of Australia a competitive contender.

In Campbelltown, the party has positioned itself strongly, with candidates leading the race by approximately 1,300 votes ahead of the Greens and 1,600 votes ahead of the Sustainable Party, potentially securing two council seats. This impressive showing reflects tremendous teamwork and strategic campaigning.

In the Canterbury-Bankstown area, particularly in the Bass Hill ward, the party is vying for third position, currently holding a narrow lead of 150 votes over other independent candidates, according to preliminary vote counts.

Khalil Muhamad Masud, Khaled Halabi, and Soud Abu Samen are among the promising candidates representing the party in these key areas, demonstrating a commitment to community engagement and representation.

In a statement, the president of Community Voice of Australia expressed gratitude for the community’s support, saying, “All praise goes to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala and thanks to the voters for their support and mandate.”

As the vote counting continues, Community Voice of Australia is poised to reshape the local political landscape with its fresh approach and community focus.
