Campbelltown City Council Hosts Iftar Dinner for Local Muslim Community.

 

Suprovat Sydney report : Campbelltown City Council Mayor, Cr Darcy Lound, warmly hosted an Iftar dinner for the local Muslim community on Tuesday, 25 March 2025. The event, held in the spirit of unity and cultural appreciation, brought together community leaders, council members, and residents to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan.

The distinguished guest speaker for the evening was Sheikh Riedwaan Raffie, an esteemed Islamic scholar and highly respected leader in the Muslim community. His presence added great significance to the occasion, as he shared insights on the importance of Ramadan, unity, and the values of compassion and generosity.

The event was attended by several prominent local leaders, including Councillors Masud Khalil, Khaled Halabi, Ash Rahman, and Masud Choudhury, along with representatives from the Muslim community. Their participation underscored the commitment of the council to fostering inclusivity and multicultural harmony within the region.Mohammed Zakir Hossain, the representative of Australia’s only Bangladeshi newspaper, was also in attendance.
