Suprovat Sydney Report:  Refugee Action Coalition Rallying on 3^rd February  2023, Australian Prime minister Anthony Albanese’s office demanded Labor honor its promise for permanent visas for refugees. There are 31,000 refugees and asylum seekers waiting at least a decade here for full rights and secure visas.

Refugees are waiting so long, and they can’t see their families for a long time. Refugees from around the world in Australia are suffering. They have been ignored by the previous Liberal government and the Scomo government did not touch refugee applications at all. Scot Morrison showed his anti-refugee mentality & the result of that, and they did not touch any of the refugees applications.

This Labor Albanese government at least declared 19.000 refugees to get a permanent visa. But that’s not enough. We know they will do the rest of the refugees but when? How long are they going to take? Labor government to allow 19,000 refugees to stay permanently in Australia from early 2023.

Refugees were already waiting such a long period of time. We need immediate action from the Albanese government.

Refugee leader Ian Rintoul organised that rally in front of the Australian prime minister’s office. Various groups participated, including Grandmothers for refugees NSW, Bangladeshi refugees of Australia incorporated, Fiji Australian refugees, teachers for refugees, and Refugee Action Coalition.

Ian Rintoul and many other leaders’ urged the current government to allow all refugees permanent visas. Bangladesh Refugees of Australia chief advisor Abdullah Yousuf also mentioned that “because there is in Bangladesh no freedom of speech and gross violence of human rights, the torturing opposition party, extrajudicial killings, hooliganism, false cases and harassment, ransom demand, State terrorism are severe, so many Bangladeshi people ran away to save their lives. But while they are here in Australia, they are also treating 3rd class citizens. We need the Labour government to consider all refugees to be allowed on a permanent visa immediately.”
