By Suprovat Sydney: In a significant milestone for the South-West Sydney community, the Glenquarie Mosque project hosted a highly successful fundraising gala on Saturday, 18th April 2026. Held in Punchbowl, the event drew a diverse assembly of supporters united by a common vision for local community development.

A Vision for the Future

The initiative is spearheaded by the Glenquarie Islamic Education & Youth Development Centre (GIEYDC), a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering academic excellence, youth empowerment, and holistic community wellbeing. The project aims to establish a permanent hub at 18 Kingdon Parade, Long Point, spanning an impressive 5,634 sqm.

With a purchase price of $3 million and an estimated development cost of $3.5 million, the project is on a fast track toward its July 31, 2026, settlement date.

Following a formal dinner, a spirited auction took place, resulting in a staggering total of approximately $1 million raised, Alhamdulillah.
